Lindsay is a licensed Associate Clinical Mental Health
Counselor. She has a Master of Science degree in Clinical Mental Health
Counseling from Capella University and a Bachelor of Science degree in
Psychology from Weber State University. Before joining Life’s Solutions
Counseling, she worked at Wasatch Behavioral Health seeing clients of all
backgrounds. Lindsay completed hundreds of hours of counseling at Wasatch and
is experienced in helping clients work through a wide variety of concerns.
Being a recent graduate of Capella University, Lindsay has a fresh outlook on
counseling. Building meaningful and genuine connections with clients is very
important to her so sessions with Lindsay are anything but stuffy and stiff.
Many clients who have not connected with other therapists have been able to
connect with her and make desired improvements to their lives.
Lindsay enjoys helping clients find the solutions that are
right for them and believes her clients are the experts on their lives. Her
therapeutic approach is heavily based in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and
integrates parts of several other approaches based on the individual needs of
each client. Her areas of clinical specialization include grief and loss,
depression, anxiety, trauma recovery, and self-esteem, among others. Areas of
special interest include maternal loss and/or infertility, postpartum mood
disorders, phobias, LGBTQA+, and faith crisis. In 2015, Lindsay experienced a
late stage miscarriage due to the baby having a fatal tumor. This event led her
to pursue a career in counseling so that she could be a support to those who might
experience similar challenges.
In her spare time, Lindsay enjoys playing the piano, cooking
and baking, reading, and vinyasa yoga. She loves Halloween, classic rock, and
chocolate. On the weekends, you will likely find her playing games with friends
or spending time with her husband and fur baby, Watson. Quoting Carrie Fisher, Lindsay
would love to help you “take your broken heart and make it into art.”
